Osprey Custom Cars is well known for building classic trucks with modern power and amenities. Their newest truck – an upscale, brand new Five Door Station Wagon - was built in July 2022.

The sophisticatedly subtle Corris Gray body panels with matching wheel arches and trim were carefully mated to the chassis once back from Osprey’s in-house body and paint shop.   The front end was updated with a premium grille with a black wire-mesh insert, gloss black light surrounds, matching side intake, and forced air wing top vents. The front bumper houses twin LED running lamps, and the rear step bumper, complete with rearview camera, a 2" hitch receiver, jacking/recovery points, trailer wiring harness, and heavy-duty swing-away rear tire carrier brings up the rear. Smoked LED lighting all around adds a modern touch and vastly improves visibility.

The engine in this truck is a 6.2L Corvette LS3 V8 mated to a smooth-shifting 6L80E 6-speed automatic transmission controlled by a custom PCS® push-button gear selector with LED display, conveniently mounted in the custom center console. The heavy-duty LT230 transfer case with center differential lock (CDL) distributes constant power to all four wheels, ensuring as much of the 435+ horsepower and 445+ pound-feet of torque make it to the ground as possible. Power disc brakes at all four corners ensure stopping is safe, quick, and efficient.  The upgraded, heavy-duty TDCI front and rear axles are located by slightly-taller-than-stock Terrafirma Pro Sport springs, along with heavy-duty Terrafirma shocks, Terrafirma caster-corrected front and cranked rear radius arms, track rod, drag link, and Terrafirma steering damper, all protected by a heavy-duty aluminum front skid plate.  It rides on satin black 18-inch Kahn® “1983” wheels wrapped with aggressive 275/70R18 Atturo Trail Blade X/T multi-terrain tires, offering the open shoulder and sidewall tread lugs of a mud terrain, combined with the off-road ability of an all-terrain and the road feel of a highway tire.

The black anodized aluminum LED-illuminated door handles welcome entry to the passenger cabin, where one willl find the modern style dash which provides excellent heating and air conditioning ensuring comfortable temperatures are maintained year-round, and the front windscreen is heated for those extra frosty mornings. The interior is nicely appointed with heated Exmoor Trim® Black Rack & half-leather front sport seats and matching second-row seats. The four side-facing, stowable rear seats with matching upholstery provide the ultimate in flexibility — seating for additional friends and family or true utilitarian cargo space. This 110 is also equipped with a new rear air conditioning system ensuring guests are well accommodated, too. The charcoal Alcantara headliner lends an air of sophistication, the front windows are power-operated, and the Viper® keyless entry and remote starting provide security and convenience. Heavy-duty rubber floor mats protect the fully carpeted footwells and rear load space area.  Infotainment is provided by a double-DIN Atoto S8 Android-based touch-screen head unit with navigation, Bluetooth, wireless Apple Car Play, and Android Auto integrated into the satin black fascia center stack and complemented by a rich-sounding Rockford Fosgate 8-speaker array. The leather- wrapped custom center console with a deep cubby storage compartment is equipped with a wireless fast- charging pad, USB charging ports, and two aluminum cupholders.

“For someone with a big family or with a lot to haul, this build offers a lot.” Says Aaron Richardet, owner and founder of Osprey Custom Cars.  “It carries the load in classic style with modern power and comfort.”

The Five Door Station Wagon from Osprey Custom Cars is priced at $199,950. For more information visit their website at www.ospreycustomcars.com.
