Amphenol combines automotive FAKRA connectors with SMA connectors for in-vehicle applications such as antennas, RFID, and driver assistance systems (ADAS).

One end of the 50Ω component is a snap-in FAKRA, and the other end is a threaded SMA.

Amphenol stated: "FAKRA connectors provide a robust, impact-resistant body with mechanical keying and color-coded housings that comply with the automotive industry USCAR-17 standards." "SMAconnectors allow easy connection and disconnection and their compactness Size, which increases the use of this component from commercial applications to industrial applications."

They are available in multiple standard lengths on flexible RG-58 and RG-174 cables, up to 3GHz.

The company is also expected to be used for drones.
